Brother Dewitt served for 31 years as a District Deputy Grand Lecturer and was made an Honorary Past Grand Master in 2015.

Franklin Dewitt Wilder, 74, died Monday, October 10, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. He was born December 22, 1941 in Pontotoc County to John Fredrick Wilder and Mary Estell Clayton Wilder. He was a retired radio dispatcher for the Mississippi Highway Patrol and a self-employed carpenter. He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Joseph Warren Masonic Lodge # 71 in New Albany and had served for many years as District Deputy Grand Lecturer.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2016, at United Funeral Service with Bro. Whit Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Ecru City Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife: Janie Lou Bagwell Wilder; two sons: Royce Wilder (Bevin) of Corinth and Frank Wilder (Lisa) of Blue Springs; and seven grandchildren: Alaina Wilder, Brianna Wilder, and Daniel Wilder all of Corinth, BrookeWilder (Fiance: Jonathan Perry), Rachel Wilder, Logan Wilder, and Ciara Wilder all of Blue Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, and one brother.

Pallbearers will be Roy Cocke Sunday School Class and Lamar Hines. Honorary pallbearers will be The Over-The-Hill Gang.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016, at United Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund.

In honor of Mr. Wilder’s service to his country, United Funeral Service will fly the U. S. Army flag during his visitation and service.
